Art Garfunkel is an American singer, actor, and poet. He began his career as a musician in the 1960s as one half of the folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel alongside Paul Simon. Simon & Garfunkel’s most famous songs include The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water. The duo released several albums together and were one of the most successful and popular acts of the 1960s and 1970s.
